  1.  John Quiñones
  • John Quiñones is an ABC correspondent and host of the popular TV show “What Would You Do?” The show uses hidden cameras and actors to create fake scenarios in public, such as people fighting, someone not having enough money to pay, or leaving money, to see how strangers will react. This has now become a popular TikTok trend that people are using to show themselves making the “wrong decision.” Then, John Quiñones will show up and say, “Ma’am I’m John Quiñones from What Would You Do?” and the video ends.
  1. Queer Eye, What Not to Wear, etc.
  • Similar to the John Quinones trend, TikTok creators are showing themselves in ugly outfits or crying about something. Then, the video ends with a video of Queer Eye’s Fab Five or Stacy London and Clinton Kelly from What Not to Wear.
  1. Charli D’Amelio vs. Alex French ???
  • Charli D’Amelio has been very popular on TikTok for a few months now and has gained millions of followers very quickly. She has had “The Hype” on TikTok since she started making videos. Now, a new girl, Alex French, is trying to take the hype away from Charli. Alex has 1.9 million followers, which is still much fewer than Charli; however, she is growing rapidly. There are debates on who is the better dancer, video creator, etc. Some people are against the whole idea that Alex French and Charli D’Amelio have to compete for popularity on TikTok and have made videos encouraging people to stop this toxic trend.
  1. Juice Wrld
  • A few weeks ago, a popular trend was to fake a seizure to Juice Wrld’s song, Lucid Dreams. Although this trend has come and gone, it is resurfacing in light of Juice Wrld’s recent death due to a seizure. Some people are making videos saying that the trend foreshadowed his death or that the two are somehow related. However, a lot of people are making memorial Tik Toks for him and reminiscing on their favorite songs.
  1. Reading funny texts/ Playing funny voicemails
  • This trend is where people read funny texts from their parents or play a funny voicemail. Then, they react to them. This trend has evolved into some kids reading texts from their overly strict parents to make a joke about the situation.
