In early 2005, the Star Wars prequel trilogy concluded with Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. While that movie was a high note, the trilogy itself wasn’t largely well received. But in 2008, Star Wars: The Clone Wars would be released and run for six seasons with critical acclaim the whole way through. It was an anthology series taking place between Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, and brought back beloved characters like Darth Maul. The series was cancelled before it concluded, but is now being brought back for a seventh and final season on Disney +.
A large focus of the trailer is on Darth Maul’s plan to destroy the Jedi, which will likely tie into his appearance in Solo, where he was planning something that wasn’t fully shown. Other parts of the trailer are dedicated to showing off how things are about to drastically change going into the time of Revenge of the Sith, as we see a pregnant Padme, and both Anakin and Obi-Wan looking much older. Ahsoka, a fan favorite character from earlier seasons, is returning, despite her leaving the Jedi Order at the end of season six. Are you excited for the return of The Clone Wars?
